Using HomeReady

HomeReady is designed to help first-time buyers understand the buying journey, explore key numbers, and plan their next steps.

By using the website, you agree to use it for lawful purposes only and in a way that does not misuse the site, disrupt the experience for others, or interfere with how the site works.

Accounts and saved progress

Some features on HomeReady require an account. When you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

Your saved planning data and account information are governed by our Privacy Notice. You can ask to delete your account at any time by contacting us.

Content and tools

HomeReady includes guides, educational content, calculators, and planning tools intended to help users understand common parts of the first-time buyer journey.

These tools and pages are provided for general information and planning use only. They should not be treated as personalised financial, mortgage, legal, or tax advice.

Paid products and cancellation

The HomeReady Buyer Planner is a paid digital product. It is a one-off purchase with no recurring subscription.

The Buyer Planner is digital content. By purchasing it, you request immediate access after payment. Once access starts, you lose your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You are asked to confirm this before checkout.

Our full refund policy, including how we handle discretionary refund requests after access begins, lives at /refund.

Support requests and referrals

HomeReady allows users to submit a support request to be introduced to a mortgage adviser or solicitor. Submitting a request does not guarantee an introduction, a mortgage offer, or any particular outcome.

HomeReady is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Any mortgage adviser or solicitor we introduce you to is an independent professional operating under their own regulatory permissions. You remain responsible for deciding whether to use any third-party professional and for checking they are right for your situation.

Accuracy of information

HomeReady aims to keep information clear, useful, and up to date, but the property market, mortgage criteria, fees, and rules can change.

Because of that, HomeReady does not guarantee that every page, example, or calculation will always be fully current, complete, or suitable for every situation.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use the information and tools on this website.

Before making any final property, mortgage, budgeting, or legal decisions, you should make sure you have checked the relevant real-world information for your own situation.

Links to third-party websites

HomeReady may include links to third-party websites or services for extra context or useful resources.

Those websites are outside HomeReady's control, and HomeReady is not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

Changes to the website

HomeReady may update, improve, remove, or change parts of the website over time.

As the site develops, these terms will also be reviewed and updated so they continue to reflect how the website works.

Clear rules, simple purpose

HomeReady is there to make the buying journey easier to understand. These terms help set clear expectations while keeping the site simple, calm, and useful.
